Up Up and Away We Go…
First, I would like to clarify that I didn’t get to go up up and away, but I was allowed to sit in one of the premier helicopters that CHE has to offer, actually it was the chopper that Mike Ditka was brought to the event in, so you can say that I sat in the seat “behind” Da’Coach (pun intended..get it…Oh forget it!) As I sat in the lap of luxury, an Airbus model EC135, I imagined myself being whisked away across the great city of Chicago enjoying the skyline, the lights and the feeling of getting away from everyday hustle and bustle of driving around in Chicago’s traffic! This chopper has all the bells and whistles, it is boasting with luxurious amenities!
CHE’s launch event was awesome. Invited guests were treated to cocktails and small bites provided by Ditka’s – Chicago Restaurant, and early guest were able to snap a photo with or of Da’Coach himself! Trevor Heffernan , founder was also on hand meeting and greeting guests and making sure everyone was having a great time and answering any questions anyone may have! I must also mention that his staff was also on hand greeting guest and making sure all questions were answered and any reservations that wanted to be made were handled there on the spot.
Trevor started this journey when he got fed up with traffic. He learned to fly, got his pilot’s license and bought his own helicopter. Talk about ambition, determination and drive. talk about “If you don’t like the way things are, change them”! Over the course of three years, Trevor built and developed his company Chicago Helicopter Experience. He and his team was granted permission to build and operate Chicago’s first and only private downtown heliport.
