Food is my LIFE!!!!! At this year’s Chicago Gourmet in late September, I had the pleasure of meeting the GM of Earl’s Kitchen + Bar, Brad Bilik and his team. When I first met them, I was not familiar with their family owned business but I can tell ya that I was wowed by their Ahi tuna bites they were serving up at CG! Brad and I exchanged information and guess what…he invited me to their VIP grand opening which took place this past Saturday in Lincoln Park. They are located in the New City shopping center on North Clybourn. EarlsKitchen + Bar is new to Chicago but they are definitely not new to the business of food…Nope, NOT AT ALL!
Brad and team didn’t hold back on any details! The indoor and outdoor space is both welcoming and modern. There is a patio that has fireplaces going as patrons can sit around on couches. There are also heating lamps that will keep you warm and cozy on a chilly night! On the inside, there are a couple of bars where I must say that the mixologists do their thing! One of my favorite cocktails of the evening was the “bees knees” it was made with Gin, Cointreau, honey, fresh lemon and bitters served in the CUTEST bear shaped glass! Talk about adorable!
Those of us who were at the grand opening, were treated to a few of Earl’s signature bites, they included:
Dynamite sushi roll which compiles A LOT of flavor it has shrimp, mango and avocado, sushi, sriracha mayo, black sesame, unagi maple.
Royale with Cheese burger Beer-infused cheddar, dry cured bacon, house-made mushroom ketchup, juicy portobello mushrooms, banana peppers between a freshly baked brioche bun
Tuna tostada which was one of my absolute favs it has chili rubbed albacore tuna, cilantro aioli, avocado, jicama slaw, served on a crisp tortilla….DEELISH!
Seared steak skewers which were grilled to perfection.
Last and certainly NOT least was their warm cookie that was served with fresh caramel and powdered sugar…that darn cookie was absolutely DIVINE
Earls Kitchen + Bar is a family-run business, launched by father and son, Leroy Earl “Bus” Fuller and Stanley Earl Fuller in the early ’80s and is also one of North America’s most successful independent restaurant groups. They have around 7,000 employees and 62 locations from Vancouver to Miami.
The servers and staff were all extremely attentive and made sure your glass was never empty it was an awesome event and I cannot wait to go back and try the Kale salad and a few other dishes that I have peeped out off the menu! Earl’s opens to the public today! Be sure to check em out! I promise that you will enjoy!!!
Bon Appetit!
