I have long considered Chicago to be a TRUE Culinary Mecca! There are sooooo many options in and around Chicago for great food at almost any price range, we Chicagoan’s are truly spoiled when it comes to food. I was sooo excited to find out about this upcoming event and had to share it with you, you and YOU!! On Saturday, February 17, 2018, The Chicago Culinary Museum and Chefs Hall of Fame join together in honoring Chicago’s great Chef’s at the 2018 Chefs Hall of Fame. The Inductees this year include Fred Hoffmann, Chef Mindy Segal, and Chef John Hogan. Each inductee will also have a day in Chicago dedicated to them leading up to the ceremony. Following the ceremony will be the For the Love of Chocolate Foundation 13^th annual fundraiser “Whimsy: A Dessert Dream Brought to Life.” Both events sound SOOOOO delicious! Each Given a Day of Honor in Chicago

(Chicago, IL) – Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel has proclaimed February 15, 2018, to be “Fred Hoffmann Day in Chicago”; February 16, 2018, to be “Chef Mindy Segal Day in Chicago”; and February 17, 2018, to be “Chef John Hogan Day in Chicago”; all leading up to their inductions into the Chicago Culinary Museum and Chefs Hall of Fame https://www.thechicagoculinarymuseum.org/.

All three culinary innovators will be formally inducted at an event open to the public on Saturday, February 17, 2017, at The Palmer House Hilton located at 17 East Monroe in Chicago from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The induction ceremony will precede the For the Love Of Chocolate http://ftloc.org Foundation’s thirteenth annual fundraiser, and tickets purchased for the Chefs Hall of Fame induction event will include attendance at Whimsy: A Dessert Dream Brought to Life http://ftloc.org/event/whimsy-dessert-dream-brought-life, until midnight.
